When you are looking for in-home care, you likely have some questions. While we encourage you to call, email, or use our contact form for more personalized answers, there are some questions we get a lot.

What do you accept for payment?

We accept private payment and long-term care insurance.

How far do you travel to serve clients?

We serve the entire Twin Cities Metro Area.

What should I do if the caregiver assigned to me isn't a good fit for me?

Sometimes people don’t click with one another. If there is ever an issue, we want you to let us know, and we can introduce a new caregiver that may be better suited. The staff overseeing the cares will be checking in with you frequently at the initiation of care start up where you will have an opportunity to voice any concern.

I have a large dog that sometimes jumps on people when they first visit. What should I do?

If you have a large dog that jumps or barks a lot, we ask that you kennel your dog during your home visit for our caregivers’ safety and comfort.  

Can family members be here when my caregiver is here?

Of course. It is important to note that our caregivers serve our clients, If we prepare a meal or perform cares or household tasks it is only for the client but we do have a discounted rate for multiple family members if they also are needing help.

Does Transitions Home Care provide services in assisted living facilities or nursing homes?

Yes. People sometimes realizes that support provided in the assisted living facilities or nursing home is not sufficient for their lifestyle.  In these cases Transitions Home Care provides the additional support you may need to give you the comfort you want.

Is there a minimum contract period?

No. We do not require any long term commitment.  The length of your care depends on your unique situation and we understand situation changes.
